Templates are Sometimes Good, but they do have their downside
When you make the decision to use a template, as I have done for this site, it is very important to put some work into it. Don't just throw your information onto it and publish it. When using a template, you'll want to change things about it, delete the elements you don't need, add elements to it. Change the colors. Add some graphics.
The template I have used for PennyPoop.com comes from Macromedia Dreamweaver. Honestly, it is the first template I have ever used, but I like the basic design of it, and nobody's paying me to design my own website, so I figured I would go ahead and use the template. Upon doing a Google search, I found that several sites use this same exact template, yet they either didn't put any of their own work into it, OR they put work into it but without understanding how to use it. On the next page you will find screen-prints of these websites, and believe it or not, they are actual websites, actually live on the internet. Some are even for "web designers" advertising their work and hoping to get paid. View this template as it is used by other sites >>>
